Pre-week in London for non-native English speakers to tune up language skills (22 June - 26 June). Program runs in English.
The program is designed for working actors who are seeking to broaden their skills, revitalise their careers and gain access to new professional networks.
It will be delivered by three of Europe’s most distinguished training organisations working in partnership to equip actors for new opportunities of international employment and work that crosses cultural boundaries - RADA, the Actors Centre and The International Institute of Performing Arts.
Guest contributors include distinguished artists from the RSC, the Comedie Francaise and leading figures from international cinema and television drama.
We offer a unique syllabus, 60 per cent focussed on advanced skills development, 40 per cent on networking and engaging with new work. You will renew your toolkit with fundamental work on your voice and your body, expand your creative potential as an actor and also develop a range of specific skills such as acting for the camera.
The program features leading specialists in the Meisner Technique and Alexander Technique; in Shakespeare and the European classical tradition; in improvisation and devising new work; and in audition technique and casting advice.
There will also be unique opportunities to develop your potential in related fields such as writing, directing and producing. At the end of the program you will emerge as a more self-sufficient actor, with the ability to initiate your own projects and plugged into a diverse network of international contacts who are actively generating new work.
Our roster of tutors* includes such luminaries as Natalie Abrahami, Trish Baillie, Cicely Berry, Selina Cadell, Margaret Eginton, Catherine Hubeau, Kelly Hunter, Gemma Jones, Niki Flaks, Muriel Mayette, Ian Rickson, Catherine Salviat, Larry Silverberg, Jeremy Stockwell, Janet Suzman, Patrick Tucker and Scott Williams.
Matthew Lloyd – the Artistic Director of the Actors Centre and one of the UK’s leading theatre director, Matthew is an inspirational figure in actor training. His most recent show is the hit production of DUET FOR ONE with Juliet Stevenson and Henry Goodman, which transfers to the West End from the Almeida Theatre in May 2009.
Edward Kemp – the Artistic Director of RADA, Edward is a renowned writer, director, translator and dramaturg who has worked extensively with the National Theatre, the RSC and Chichester Festival Theatre among many other venues.

Aurélia Nolin - the Director of the International Institute for the Performing Arts, Paris, is an actress and director who has played leading roles for Eric Rohmer and Gerard Oury, a leading exponent of the Meisner Technique and a pioneer of training that makes the finest contemporary practice available across geographical borders.
