If you have ever dreamed of a career as an actor and believe that you have something unique to offer the performance industry we want to meet you.
You do not have to be an experienced actor to take part, but you must demonstrate talent, flair and ambition. We welcome anyone over age 16 to apply. And remember, it’s never too late! We are especially interested in training people who wish to enter the profession later in their lives.
Workshops, promotional talks and auditions will take place at a number of venues across London this summer so to register your interest in this initiative and for further information please contact members@actorscentre.co.uk for details or download an application form by clicking here.

We are at last able to begin on our long-awaited refurbishment! The works will take three months, running from July through September, and when we re-open in October you will find us marvellously improved - especially in our heating and cooling systems, which have been the bane of the building for so many years, and in our disabled access, which will be exponentially improved by the installation of a lift in the foyer. There’ll be a new reception too, as well as a dynamic entrance to the Tristan Bates Theatre and a freshly decorated, wireless-enabled building throughout.
The obvious implications of the building work mean that we will have to hire external space over the Summer period to keep classes running, so we will be relying heavily on the membership to keep up-to-date with information on the new website and help us make this period as smooth-running as possible.
A majority of classes will be running at Walkabout which is near to the Centre but we will also be running classes at the Rose Theatre Kingston, Equity, ITV, Theatre 503 and Lauderdale House. The venue will appear alongside the class information or you can click here for a list of streetmap links for the various venues.
From the beginning of July, you will be told the workshop’s venue at the time of booking. We would also strongly advise that all classes are booked in advance, especially weekly classes, as some venues will ask for a list of names at reception and if you are not on the list you will not be allowed entry.
The Actors Centre staff will relocate to Victoria for the refurbishment but you'll still be able to drop in and see us. Our new number will be 020 7808 7088 and then the lovely folks at Citibase Victoria will put you through to the relevant department. All our emails will stay the same.
From October the newly refurbished building will reopen and we’ll be back to normal with an ever broader range of workshops.
